Position Description

Summary:
Responsible for receipt and thorough review of loan applications for completeness. Input of loan applications into the credit application processing system. If found incomplete, request necessary information from submitting loan officer. Provides assistance to loan underwriters in the gathering of information to make sound credit decisions. Maintains a backlog of incomplete applications received and tracks their status in the credit approval process.

Responsibilities:

Receive and review credit applications for completeness assuring that applications have all necessary information and attachments, i.e. financial statements, income tax returns, etc.
Identification and documentation of HMDA reportable loan requests.
Discusses incomplete loan applications with referring officers and makes decision to request additional information as necessary.
Research of Host, Shaw and ALS for related accounts, both loans and deposits. Documentation of entire household relationship for use by underwriter in decision making.
Input of credit applications into the credit application processing system, thereby pulling credit bureau reports as needed. Matching of credit bureau reports with application assuring that these items agree and documenting any discrepancies found.
Forwards complete loan packages to appropriate underwriter.
Receipt and verification of information received for incomplete packages. Documentation of processing system with additional information provided.
Makes decision to condition incomplete loan packages when the requested information is not received within the required timeframe.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma+.
2+ years banking experience.
1 - 2 years loan documentation experience.
