Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:


As a Software Engineer for the Maritime and Strategic Systems business area, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for he development and maintenance of software and systems products for a fielded and operational system.

Help maintain and enhance existing products, define and implement new solutions, assist in troubleshooting customer issues, and collaborate on software designs.

Experience with Emergency Action Message processing systems is desired

What sets you apart:

  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems (e.g., Linux, embedded VxWorks, and Windows)
  • IT experience in installing and configuring Windows 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and VxWorks operating systems
  • Strong software development and compilation skills using Ada/C/C++ software language (or other structured programming language)
  • Experience with X/Motif GUI development
  • IT experience with license management, renewals, and procurement
  • Familiarity of design of systems utilizing real-time, distributed microprocessor processing
  • Experience in RMF control implementation and cybersecurity is a plus
  • Candidate will be involved in all phases of the development process including but not limited to requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, integration and systems test, and design support activities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills as well as the ability to work in a small team environment are desired

Workplace Options:

Target salary range: USD $86,471.60/Yr. - USD $95,929.40/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
