Overview

Rapiscan Systems, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs, and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as, airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports and terminals, government and military installations and nuclear facilities. The Software group is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is highly motivated, results-driven, and passionate about technologies to join our growing team to change the way the world interacts with security screening systems.


Responsibilities

  • Develops standalone Ubuntu installer to deploy ScanOS product
  • Develop ESXi OVA/OVF for networked deployments
  • Integrate build processes into Kenkins and Bitbucket build pipelines
  • Create and maintain Software BOMs
  • work with SecOPS to perform product scans and assist with remedial activities
  • Assist local and remot staff with deployments
  • Design procedurs for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • BSC Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Min 5 years of experience
  • Excellent teamworking and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems, Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of Networking, incl Docker networking
  • Exposure to programming languages, Python, C++, JavaScript (React)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles
