ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead first line supervisors in the daily leadership on the manufacturing process and provide daily support in troubleshooting issues that arise.
  • Provide performance feedback and appraisals to team members.
  • Communicate and execute short and long-term production plans; drive for results focuses on meeting production forecast and ensure budgeted labor is within plan.
  • Support maintenance, continuous improvement, and value stream projects that support the business and ensure the production schedule demands are met; provide input that may impact master production schedule.
  • Educate and enforce quality, safety, and 5S standards and processes; recommend changes as opportunities arise on the production floor.
  • Drive cost control programs to continually improve and profitable performance of the business unit.
  • Develop and recommend capital appropriations for the purchase of new equipment to reduce manufacturing costs and maintain an even flor of finished products.
  • Monitor departmental capacity to ensure proper resources are in place to meet production requirements.
  • Establish effective communications and consistent work methods between all shifts and support areas.
  • Identify areas for continuously improving work methods, productivity and working conditions which directly contribute to improved quality and reduced costs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree with four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing principles
